I am planning to move my rear springs up front. I have done a bunch of research on this but haven't found all of the answers that I am looking for.

1) Can I use both the factory leaf eye and shackle mounting locations? I would like to stay away from dropping the spring eye if possible. I have already rotated my balls. "He sad balls..." :eyebrow:
2) When using the OE shackle mount, do you have to use boomerang shackles ot clear the body mounts? If so, do any of you have a drawing of the boomerangs? I would like to fab them before I take everything apart. This would be greatly appreciated.
3) When building the custom pack, do any of you have recommendations for leafs? How many did you use? What applications were they from? How much lift did you get? I have a FJ60 rear leaf pack, 85' P/U rear leaf pack and a '85 P/U front 4.5" Rancho leaf pack to work with. I was considering simply replacing the Rancho main leaf with the factory rear main leaf.
4) Anybody have dimensions for a low-profile spring mount for mounting the Chebies? Once again, I would like to pre-fab it. I also want to loose the lift blocks in the rear. Will I need a AAL to make these go away?

BTW- Up front, I am installing a FJ60 axle with IFS hub bodies and OTT widening kit. The steering is from an FJ60 and modified by "W" out in Washington. In the rear, I am installing a Tacoma axle with Monte Carlo disc brake conversion. I am totally stoked about this! :beerchug:

Any help or advise will be rewarded in the afterlife. Sure, I promise.

#1.. I think you have to use a drop mount for the rears because they are longer, the stock front spring hanger is inherently weak as sometimes they crack. Balls?

#2..You can trim the cab or use boomerang shackles, remember its recomended to use a xover type steering

#3..check out the rears up front faq on pirate

1.  You don't have to use a drop hanger.  They will work in the stock location.

2.  You don't need to use boomerang shackles.  I have my front spring eye moved 1 inch back of stock location and my shraight shackles bearly nudge the frame.

3.  I don't know how arched the FJ60 springs are, so my only help for that would trial and error.
