Sorry for the newbie quest but....when i am driving i can hear a ticking type noise every revolution of the front (also if i hit a bump or on a rough road it is worse) tire and when use my brakes, i gets louder and sounds like it is metal to metal...i just put new pads on last weekend but did not turn the rotors, is that what i need to do? just doesnt seem like that would be the problem.  :dunno: just dont want to take it to a shop and get charged out the a$$

It's probably a broken pad retaining spring or a loose or broken anti squeak plate.  I was hearing a similar noise recently on my 4by, looked at the springs and they were broken.  Autozone had em dirt cheap.

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

The best way to find out is to just take it apart and look.  :hammerhead:  :)
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough
