I would like to get my intake mannifold extrusion honed.  Anyone know of a shop that could do/ would do this for a 22re intake.
Thanks. :chug:

Why would you do this? Lotta $$

Make sure you've got oversized valves, larger throttle body, and a good aftermarket cam before you do it. Ported/Polished head would be nice to have as well. But Im sure youve got it all fixed up if your looking into boring out your intake manifold.

if your going to do that you should just port match the head, and intake too..It takes some time but it really makes the r motor come alive...Don't do just the exhause..It took me a good weekend to port match my top end on my 22r but that was taking my time and clening up all the p[orts real nice..

:thumb:very good point i did that on my new engine it is out of a 2 ton so the exhaust ports were soooo small!
same on the intake it was emberassing! :ack: the biggest thing too remember when doing port work is too not polish the snot out of it you will actually restrict airflow! cause a rough surface lets the atomized fuel and air zip on by where as polished aka extrude honed leaves a very smooth bore and puddles the fuel and makes for increased backpressure in the intake bore :smack:
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

port :thumb: , port match,  :thumb: :bowdown:but dont polish it like a chrome wheel :slap: if you use a flexible borer to open it up make sure  its ruffed up afterwards

We need to remember that the latter R cylinder heads were NOT designed for high rpm flow. Especially the 22R head, it spins and turns the air which spins the mixture at low speeds for better fuel atomization which aids in bottom end torque. If your looking for some flow, then better get an 18RG

Hey! Actually he needs a buyer for his 18RG. His use for it didnt come through and now hes stuck with it and needs to dump it. I believe he's got most of it, just in pieces. Block, Head, most internals, oil pump, pickup tube, etc.

PM me your phone number and I will get him to call ya today-
