no,  Mark installed a electric pump  at the tank to pressurize  the line,  he'll need to replace that pump later but the e pump should make a LOT of difference

We missed you all too! :rivers: I tried climbing the mountain with the laptop to try to get service. We had enough bars but I think it was the wrong service for the internet

But we're back : bud:

OK time for some pics..
These are some that Rocksurfer took. The first two are still in Calico, I guess RS climbed up the moutain in the morning to get the campground shot.
The next two are at this rock garden in Big Bear. It sounded really weird, like riding on broken china. A lot of quartz I think.
Fred in the little Sami was kicking some serious :moon: with that little thing!

Oh, I forgot the mine pics from Calico. We didn't end up doing too much wheeling there. We were making our way to odessa when RS's Toy died. His battery went dead, and Mark had broken off his 4.7 shifter somehow during the wedgie.
Fortunately RS had another battery at the RV and so Mark decided to fix the shifter while we were there.
The mines were really cool, you could see them all in the walls of the mountains.
We all had flash lights which is a good thing as there are shafts you can just fall right down, the last pic is a shaft, it's not blocked off or anything.
Fortunately we already knew of RS's evil plan to lose us in a mine shaft so we were sure to stay behind him :haha:

so, after fixing the fuel pump problem with the LBC we FINALLY get on the road. No sooner do we get moving then RS comes to a screeching halt sliding sideways into the parking lot of this Slash X Ranch. He says we HAVE to come in and bring the camera :headscratch:
So we do...
It was a pretty cool place. I thought the bartender was going to be some old gruff dude but he was really friendly telling us some history and trivia of the place (a part of Erin Brachovich (sp) was filmed there), and Brad Pitt and his squeeze were in there recently (but the bartender was more interested in their new Ducati's then them. :hahaha:
But the big thing... it seems people come here and leave hats!  :haha: and so we did... no, not a marlin hat but a Mile Marker hat. Mark signed it.
The bartender said on the weekends the parking lot is more full of ATV's, buggy's and dirt bikes then street vehicles. They come across the desert to get there, and danged if he wasn't right. We just passed it coming back on 247.

It was GREAT to meet you and wheel with you Mark and Diane!  Great people and a pleasure to be with, on the trail or around the campfire!

Have a safe and fun trip home...

Rocksurfer or I will post up a link to Big Bear pics once we get them in our hands and uploaded.

I look forward to the rest of the story, and video of Steve's hard roll on Holcolm Creek!

:woohoo: I had a blast with the Mammoth's, I even got a rare ride in the Willy Mammoth. I hear it is usually occupied by someone else. We did an evening run while it was still light out on the John Bull Trail and Mrs. W decided she had enough just getting to Big Bear, so I gladly took the seat and went for a ride. I got some great shots of everyone and will post them up later, still getting stuff out of the motorhome.

And of course :worthless:
I was having trouble getting online on this computer so Mark fixed it for me while I was in the shower. (the foil is attached to the internet card)
Below are pics of Scott fixing his tire.
And I really want to thank RS for setting this up for us. It was so much fun, we had everything from little Sami's to Yota's and Jeeps and even a totally cool Unimog on the trail with us.
I got a LOT of video, including Steve's little OOPS :ack: but won't be able to post it up till we get home to capture it.
RS, glad you got to ride in the Mammoth! I knew you'd enjoy it.

As soon as we get home and get reorganized I'll have lots of video to post. (including the mog traversing that ledge! :yikes: )

FYI - that white truck started out the trail ride without so much as a ding! :yikes: I got that little fender bender on video, but it's going to have to wait till we get home. :snapshot:
Lets just say, it lived up to it's name. (that's Steve, the current owner, in the blue tee. Thank goodness for 5-point harnesses and roll cages!)
