HI MOM!! WE MADE IT!

RS! :slap: What are you doing messing with Mom! :yikes: she may live on the left coast but you forget we are Italian's from NJ. Like Gram DiPaolo once said "we're not mafia, but we know people"

OK - first the repair report:

We had to change out FFC's driveshaft before we even got to Gatekeeper. That was about an hour and a half repair

Had to trail repair Mini's rear end when his pivot blocks broke. Well the right side broke and the left was ready to go. Oh, at this was 10:30 at night still about 40 min. - an hour from the Springs. That had to be a good 2 hours and we had the trail completely blocked. Fortunately it was late enough at night and we only have 4 other trucks behind us. But everyone was really helpful.

Mark did a bunch of welding and repair at the Springs on various vehicles, as did Marlin.

Snowshoebrue busted his front spring center bolt on the way out and limped back to the staging area.

While Snowshoe was limping BlingnXJ came racing up behind us, FFC busted a tie rod, there were spares and that didn't take long.

I've got to get the pics from the small laptop to this laptop but right now we've got to get showers and something to eat. We are RIPE!

Yeah, you smell like a wet rat dog.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

OK, there are pics to go with the above but not some of the seat cover sucking moments! (Mom that means it was scary, AKA butt pucker factor 10! LOL! Read at your own risk!) :haha:

Mark had been running about 8 psi in the tires when we hit the trail. It was doing OK but he decided to let it down to 7 psi to get a little better traction. Later, the temps dropped so he thinks the pressure may have gotten down to 6 psi. We were crossing the off camber slabs after Little Sluice and the tires on the downhill side (his side, this time) were about rolling under. He had to bank off the large rocks along the lower edge to keep it upright (the others up ahead of us said they could hear us coming SCCCRRRREEEEEEE. Thank goodness for that exo cage!

THEN, after we passed Buck Island (and saw BigMike at the SLOW camp), we had crossed the dam and there was an area that had loose rock and was really off camber on a extreme downhill drop on my side (of course), not to mention it was about 9:30pm by then. FFC was behind us waiting as we crossed.

According to Rockscrambler, who was riding with FFC, the right front tire folded completely under (remember we have the internal bead locks) and the rear wasn't much better. We were teetering with this drop about maybe a couple feet at the most from my side.

FFC jumped out of her vehicle and jumped on the cage on Mark's side. I told her to get the big boys down there, she didn't move but did yell to them. rs was just about to take a picture when he realized we were in trouble and jumped out to join her. We got UncJ and Blackdog on the cage too, and with the ballast on the uphill side made it through.

Mark got out to help spot everybody else on the high side but I had to sit in the Mammoth till I could stop shaking!! But we got'er done!  :woohoo: MAN! That was crazy!

Another one was going up Cadillac this morning. Snowshoebrue (sorry for the mispelling) was first, Mark had gotten in front of FFC just in case she needed help, BlingnXJ was behind her with Blackdog and Ruger bringing up the rear.

About half way up there's a large boulder you have to bank around, it's a tough climb and you have to bank around it to the right. And there is a shear drop on the passenger side of the hill, going around the boulder puts the drop sort of behind you to the right.

Mark had made it through fairly easily but FFC had to jump on it to get up the climb. When she gassed it her front end came completely off the ground and she about sat on her tailgate! She got off the gas just in time and got her wheels back under her!

Or so I am told as I was on the other side of the boulder with the camcorder and was just making my way around to film her when everyone went AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! :yikes:

Mark hooked up to her and pulled her the rest of the way over the butt puckering stuff.

So there were quite a few seat cover removal's over the weekend.

Pics to follow time to shower and eat! :bath:
