:dunno: ive asked this question once before but since there where no replies at this forum and the others ill try asking again cause im still have the same problem when tring to start the motor either cold or hot it turns over but never cranks but for some reason i can remove the oil cap and try it and it starts with no problem and it does this at least one week outa every month and nobody seems to know why and of course when i take it to the shop its working fine please help if you gota guess ill check it out ive got a 90 4runner v6 3.slow it doesent seem to much of a problem cause it always starts after removing the cap but can this lead to bigger problems or is it a sign of a big problem any help would be great thanks alot

opps check your PCV valve. You should be able to blow out but not suck in. If you can both ways...then its shot. Then just go get a new one. Its not letting your bottom end breath. Its vapor locking your motor.

ya thats the best bet, pcv. Im not too familiar with the v6 but do they have a valve cover breather too? If so, check that too.

they've got a valve cover breather, but that shouldnt be a problem, check the pcv valve, like they said
