Main journal swapping from block to block????
« on: Apr 19, 2005, 06:44:33 PM »
Possible on 22r's?  My center main journal was all but destroyed by the trust washers when they spun out. The lip that retains the lower washer is ground down.

if you're talking about swapping the main caps, i don't think it's a good idea since they're matched.  time for a new block i think.  the machine shop work to fix the block would probably be a lot more than paying for a new block and rebuilding it

Not a scratch on the block, looks like the lower part of the washer came out and the upper just spun around to the bottom and fell out. Crank looks clean too. The problem is going to be maching the grove for the washer back into the cap and the block.
