rear axle

I have a 84 ex-cab and want to switch the rear axle for an ifs rear axle and was wondering how it is done and what is needed? does it bolt right up with all the same stuff or not?
Everyone starts off in life crawling but lots of us grow up and still are crawling around everywhere

The axle tube dia. on the ifs rear is bigger so you may need to use the u bolts off the new axle other than that should bolt right up

the later ones had a wider perch, so you may have to change your spring plates as well

On the perches the only ones Ive found are 93+ that have the wider ones.  Allth earlier ones are just a bolt in process.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

They should bolt right up except for the e-brake.  You will prolly need to fiddle with that.  I don't know for sure.
