SAS can’t get axel out.

Pulled passenger side out.  It wouldn't go back in, while moving drive shaft to try to mate splines.  I decided to pull drivers apart to pull 3rd member, due to both side getting stuck. It won't come out.  I've used a punch at c clip slot.  That's what got passenger side out.... Birfields were pulled off both sides before axel came out.  Any tricks. I read through a feed from 10 yrs ago and his description is a little confusing.  Again, drivers side stuck, birfield off, solid axel. This is on a 1990 toy pickup.
