TPS interchangeability?

Hello, assuming a new connector were spliced in would i be able to use a later model TPS (89-95 oval connector) in place of the old one (pre 89 rectangular connector)? Basically im asking if there's any ECU compatibility issues that would arise in a '90 22RE and if anyone's done this before. Thanks

I think as far as electrical, you would be ok. But I think the spot where it hooks to TB will be off by 90°. Scroll down on the link. You'll see the difference
