Seal for original R150f to gear driven t-case
« on: Jun 05, 2024, 10:41:25 AM »
I have one of the early conversion kit. The seals on the rear of the trans is bad it dumped gear oil into the empty cavity and filled up the t-case then leaked out the top of the t-case shifter.
MC doesn’t carry the seal anymore. Anyone know of another source for the seal?

I would remove, and get some measurements. Google the measurements, I'm sure something will pop up

Does that adapter collar just slips out? I can get the seal out after that, I think.

Looks like there's a lip, on outside edge. Can you get something between there.

Looks like I need to use a puller. Maybe grind a notch on each side so there’s something to grab. It is not moving.

Ok. I got the seal out.
Marlincrawler couldn’t tell me where to get the replacement. I measured it waste time chasing for it around town. Bought one from a seal and bearing place about 30 miles away. All only to find out that it’s just the original 150F transmission rear seal. Can get from Autozone. 🙄
