Hello everyone, I'm not new to toyota trucks owning mine for 15 years it's a 1983 Hilux, truck and me had some challenges early on mostly due to being in the military. Life happened and I sold it regretted it so much I started searching for another by pure dumb luck I found contact info for the guy I sold it to. Sitting in a McDonald's after driving 2 hrs for a hopeful replacement that was total junk I was crying and decided I would try and call the guy. Left a message before we could walk out the door he called me back. I explained the situation and he explained he still had it I would be welcome to look at it... but probably wouldn't want it back. Well we met at his shop he opened the door and sitting there between a 34 chevy and a Cuda was my toyota stripped down to nothing but frame and cab. We walked around gathering parts from the truck. We made a deal and she was mine again. We'll fast forward 8 years she still sits in my drive way and drive her on occasion well I'm gonna make the truck I've already love into my dream truck. She will be getting a 3rz turbo build, now after weeks of reading and researching I pulled the trigger on a 1996 tacoma that ran and to my amazement, very well. 3rz will be getting a full rebuild, now I'm searching for a w56 transmission or a way to convert the W59 to gear driven t case with passenger side drop. I know this will not be an easy undertaking but it's time for me to build this old truck into the one I always wanted. Thanks for having me and thanks for all the shared knowledge I'm sure a many long nights will be spent on here figuring out things on this. Thanks again
