This project has been started and stopped a couple of times.  Life happens.  The down and dirty of it, I'm working oversees and have time to research and compile needed conversion parts before I get home January 2024.

This is what I'm working with:
Doner - 2000 Toyota 4Runner 4WD Limited, 5VZ-FE, A340.  Complete.  Starts, runs, drives.  Frame is rusted all to hell.
Recipient - 1985 Toyota X-tra Cab 2WD, 22R, 4spd.  Complete.  Started, ran, drove when engine was in it.  No rust on body or bed.  Very minor rust on frame.
Game Plan:  All Toyota, 1985 Resto-Mod from 2wd to solid front axle 4wd.  It will be used as a part time DD, pull a M416 trailer outfitted for expedition, and mild off-road trail rig.  Mini truck rear axle with 4.3 R&P e-lock third from the 4Runner.  Mini truck front housing with IFS outters from the 2000 4Runner and custom high pinion 4.3 R&P third.  It will start on 30" tires with a suspension able to accommodate 33" tires.  I'd like to do this as K.I.S.S as possible.  When it comes to "how to" and configuration, you are the Gurus.

First question (of many): Is it possible to get from the output of an A340 trans, through a Marlin Crawler gear reduction systems (Toy or Taco box) into an older Toyota gear driven, passenger/RH forward drop transfer case in a top shifting configuration?  I'm sure it is possible, but I must refer to you, the Gurus on this one.  If "Heck yeah it is" please provide what I need to smash this together.  I don't think I'm going to do a Toy/Taco reduction box on this project.  Instead I'm going to run a 4.7 T-Case gear set.
