I bought the transmission and transfer case shifter boots.
Is there anyway else to put them on then sliding them from the top of the shifter, I wanted to ask before I rip them.

The OEM shifters are larger than the boot that covers the shifter socket. Use some soap and water and only use as much force as necessary and you will be fine, especially with new boots. Old ones may crack.
