'81 4x4 Radiator options?
« on: Jul 03, 2021, 07:58:38 PM »
Just got my '81 back on the road with a new motor. The radiator I have in it now is one of those aluminum cheapy ones from ebay.  Don't like it, but I am not finding anything online.  What are my options?  I am not actually boiling over.  But running warm for sure.  Thinking this aluminium radiator is under performing.

I just put an OSC 1935 in my 1981 truck, direct bolt-in. I suspect all the rads listed on Rockauto for a 1985 4Runner will fit. The OSC 1935 does take a late-model small rad cap.
1981 Pickup - 37s, 5.29s, L52, dual cases 4.7 rear, e-locker front, grizzly rear, 22R stroker
1986 4Runner - 35s, 5.29s, auto, front Detroit, rear trutrac, 4" lift

Thank you!  Thank you! Thank you!

CSF 2314

Thank you!  Works great.  Rubs a touch in the hood on one inlet side, but I'll just glue a patch of inner tub there and that should take care of that.

You should be able to open up the mounting holes on the Rad with a round file and drop it down a bit.
