Hi All! I'm Adam. I'm new here and just wanted to say hello. I'm just teasing about the divorce thing, kinda. When the wife finds out how much I plan to spend on my '19 Taco she just might consider it or worse. lol.

A little history on me... I grew up in northern Idaho with some amazing terrain all around. I've owned a few Toyota trucks in the past and used to wheel a lot but it has been awhile since life took me in a different direction. I picked up a DBL cab OR shortbed about a year ago thinking I would just throw a simple lift at it and keep it as a daily driver that we could get out in the woods with on the weekends. I got the double cab because I have two kids, ages 11 and 13, and wanted to fit the whole fam comfortably. For awhile now I've been trying to find a hobby that my son and I in particular can enjoy together, especially through his teen years. Something to keep him occupied in a good way. My daughter absolutely lives for her horse and everything horse related. But my son hasn't really found a healthy hobby. We snowboard in the winter but are really in need of a summer activity. I used to love going for weekend drives in the woods with my old man and wheeling with my friends in my late teens and early 20's. So I figure what better father/son hobby than building this Tacoma into a fun, safe crawler! Something we can do together for many years to come... and the ladies can join in the fun too anytime they want!

I've been doing a lot of research and have a pretty good idea of the direction I'm headed. I want to build a daily driver that is super capable on the trail. While searching online I found Big Mike's RCLT HD and got really excited about the possibility of retaining IFS while still being super strong and capable. So here I am. Below is my current build plans. All advice/input welcome. Cheers :beerchug:

Sounds like a great project, especially to do it with your son. I would have loved it if my dad wanted to build a truck with me when I was growing up.

Welcome to the forum, I'm new here too.
