MMMMMMMMMM i LoVEEE TUBINGG

bought    120 feet of schedule 40 1 3/4 inch tubing last week... not all of it is for me... quite a bit though... my buddy is helping me bend it all up.. here is what we started yesterday.. still gotta bend the ends more into the fender.... what do you think so far?

What kind of bender are you using?

just a simple ol hydraulic pipe bender

OMG, my friend has a bender just like that but we thought it was just for exhaust becasue it kept kinking the tube.

pretty much it will alwyas kink the tube... my buddy who bought the tubing bought a custom size that doesnt kink. i dont know the dimensions of it but it works like a champ

1.90 x .134 wall tubing in the 1 and 1/2 inch pipe die should work without flattening or kinking...thicker wall will create a better bend, then there are the tricks like filling the pipe with sand or pea gravel or tapping the ends and filling the pipe with water...It is also recomended to move the rollers as far out as possible to help stop kinking and some will put a piece of larger tubing between the pipe they are bending and the rollers to keep them from flattening the piece they are working on...

all of the main bends are finished... took a picture with my cell came out kinda small but you can kinda get the picture... at the top we added a cross brace to each side

Don't Stall: How tight of a bend can you get with that bender? I have the same exact one. And a simple 90 is pushing it for me.

i can get a 90 pretty eaisaly out of it... it was weird though because the die it came with kept kinking the tubing... and my buddy had a die that he let us borrow same size 1 1/2" and it fits a lot more snug.. like when you take it out of the bender you have to hit the die off the tubing

That is the same bender that I have and it works great with 1 1\2 sch 40.  The od is more like 1 7\8 but I use the 1 1\2 die and it is really snug And it takes a hammer to get the die off.   The secret for mine seems to be not to pump the jack to fast.
