Newb Tranny swap Question

Got a line on a "nice" 89 V6 (mint frame for New England)

So basically the tranny and transfercase behind the V6 make adding a double really expensive.

Quesion is, will a tranny from a 4cyl bolt to a v6?

I think that the only 4cyl tranny that will bolt up to a V6 motor is the R151 turbo tranny and I
think you have to use the V6 bellhousing.
Other than that I don't think a 4cyl tranny will bolt up to a V6.
Might try asking Big Mike though.
