I am in a similar  boat.  Have a few things done on it,  but still have to build duals, install 4.7's, do my cross over, build sliders and rear bumper, set up gears and lockers, install brake lines, bump stops.  And more I bet..hahaha
Sharing time between Northern Ca and Western Tn..

Hi All:
My name is Sean and I am an alcoholic.  Whoops wrong meeting LOL
Anyways this is going to be my first Rubicon Trip.  I was wondering if anyone is going to be traveling from the San Diego Area?
I would prefer to travel with someone but if it doesn't work that's Ok.  I am leaving SD around 9AM Wed 9/11 and driving home Sun.
I will be trailering my 85.    Thanks! Will be great to meet everyone!

Oh one more question:  Do most people bring extra gas?  I was thinking about bringing my 5 gallon motorcycle jug, but not sure if that is overkill or not.  Thanks again!

i bring a 5 gallon can but never need it

i think it usually only takes me half a tank to run the rubicon so like 7 gallons

i bring it just in case i puncture the full tank or some other unforeseen problem

I have always ran from fill up at Georgetown all the way through to Tahoe with 1 tank. That was a 86 22re 4runner on 37s. I don’t see much fuel consumption in double low. This year I’ll have a 3.4 4runner and I know she likes to
Drink but I should be good. Since I’m trailering.

He’s had mine for 5 this coming Friday. But he does it full time. The front is burned in and it’s down to paint and the small details. Should def be done in time

That’s awesome.   I was working full time on weekends and just after work.  Which usually meant 5-6 hours after a 10-14 hour work day. Helluva lot of work!    Hope it’s done it sounds great.

I’m heading out tomorrow. Moab for a few days then MCR if the truck survives! :gap:

I’m pumped. I need to at least bomb it around town to break the gears in and the rest will be trail rated.

I need a near rear driveshaft before mcr lol.  I’m in Moab and my carrier bearing isn’t holding up well. I’m gonna see if I can get a one piece made
