Hi there,

I've just purchased a 1994 Toyoace truck with the diesel 3L and R452 gearbox. Everything I've read so far online relates to using parts of this gearbox to modify or change the ratios of the other R15* gearbox's. But what I am looking to do is bolt a transfer case to the stock R452 gearbox in the truck. Does anyone know if it's possible?

Cheers

The R452 is typically assembled with a cast iron, side shifting front housing, and a drum parking brake behind the cast iron tail housing. There are 2 options. Divorce the t-case, or modify the transmission. Divorcing the t-case might prove challenging, as I have heard the business making the divorce adapters is no longer around. Modifying the transmission will require a donor transmission for parts like housings and shifter linkages. The conversion you want can easily be done at Marlin Crawler. Call the sales line to get put on the build list. 1(559)252-7295
