Transmission mount years

Hey guys, RockAuto says transmission mounts for the hilux are generation specific. I never heard of this before...  Is the incompatibility in the mounting to the frame or the transmission itself?

From what I've seen 79-80 are slightly different where it mounted to the cross member. 81-95 mount the same but are slightly different. The later stuff being a little beefier.

Dont buy the pioneer brand. Bolt holes are horrible, dont line up
