L43 Shift Lever Retainer Bushings

a "Lever Retainer Bushing" came with a kit I purchased when I ordered the shifter shaft seal replacement, housing boot and heavy duty socket for my 1980 Toyota 4x4 with a L43 Transmission- can someone tell me where the Lever Retainer bushing goes? I do not see anything like it in parts that were removed.
