QuoteMy good friend Andy’s JK Wrangler (from the Four Wheeler Magazine article I did last year) was stolen from Tonga Hut Tiki Lounge at the corner of Victory and Coldwater Canyon last night around midnight. It’s a 2013 JK with a 2.5” JKS Manufacturing JSpec lift kit with a full compliment of control arms and all the fixings. It rides on a set of 285/75R17 Nitto Tire Ridge Grapplers on late model Rubicon rims. Please share! If you have any info please let me know.

was it just a joyride or was there something more sinister like a ring going on, what was the damage?

Joyride = They found it parked at the local mall.

Glad they found it in one piece!

I'm surprised they were able to steal it.
Most cars from that year would have an immobilizer key system.
Maybe not Jeep?
Try stealing a modern Toyota and You will get nowhere fast.

even my 2001 Ford has a system where it can't be started without a transponder key, and it had to previously be programmed into the vehicle, it takes 2 keys already in the system to do it, or a locksmith/dealer special computer
