Arctic Taco

Greetings all,
A mechanically adept newb with reduced fab gear access. Looking to dial up my 85, and even the 98 Taco. Not to mention the 01 Ram CTD, as funding allows.
Main interests are mountain biking, off road driving and desert exploration when I can get outside.
Currently working on both the Taco, and the 85. The 85 is the DD right now.
The Taco is waiting for a cat, a bottom rad hose- new Champion alum radiator ( don't believe a radiator is a wear item for hell's teeth), then new knock sensors and wiring, valve cover gaskets and tundra brake conversion. Hope to have this stuff sorted before I head south for some winter work on the farm.

The 85 is getting a rebuilt long block, headers, and eventually bigger brakes and a flat bed somewhere down the road.

Then the new DD will be an 86 Power Ram 50, I work at the end of an 85 mile gravel road, don't want to hammer my fun rigs.

Most of my gear is used for exploring, not into rock crawling, but looking to set up capable rigs for backcountry trips of 4-7 day duration.

Looking forward to learning a lot about my latest money pits and having some fun in the process.
Thanks

Welcome, in stock form your Toys are quite capable in the dirt, so you wont have to go too far making them a great rig for your planned uses.

170 miles a day on a gravel road, are you sure you don't need a hover craft, or a trophy truck.
