Grandpa's sleeper. Definitely interested. Glad to see someone still utlizing old school big block toque gallon per mile technology. Speaking of which, what kind of mpgs you getting towing the fifth wheel?

At work my boss owns a 98 Chevy,  4x4 3500 dually, 454 with Whipple charger. 4.10 gears with gm posi. All ordered from factory dealership when new. Now's has 210k. Tows a 38ft 5th wheel loaded with roughly 6,000lbs  worth of display motors and parts. Over mountains n canyons avg is 6 mpg with a steady tow, 10mpg not hauling

Cool project. My vote is 12v if you want to actually tow with it for king distances. Big blocks are cool for power and tq but lo mg hauling they kill the pocket book. I'm biased though.

A guy local to me actually did that with one of those gutless wonders. It was an improvement but still wasn't as much as a stock 6.5 turd gm produced. That's why I stick with 12v for diesel swap.

That 460 should be quite a red light to red light sleeper with that cam shaft and rocker combo.

Dang buddy, i hate to hear how shotty the work is on the exhaust system. Especially with how much it cost you. Hopefully your fuel line upgrade and a new connection will cure the issue.

wow. one of the prior owners/meth connoisseurs that owned my truck before me did a better job on the exhaust. Hope you bring it up to the offending shop

Cummins swap time.

So what is it that has you annoyed about the fuel system?
Would you consider an aluminum intake manifold before doing the dyno pull? I know if I ever start poking around on my 360 it will become a 500hp $5000 rebuild. Therefore i have refrained from such silliness.

So you have 3 pumps correct? The one on the frame is drawing through the in tanks and they are "helping" supply it?

Is there a way that the valving between the two tanks could be causing this issue? How is the tank vent?

Good find. I like seeing this tid bits of knowledge about older American built vehicles. I've found a lot of things different in an 84 dodge and 92 dodge. Even though the body and frame are relatively the same from 71-93 ???

SqWADoosh [04:19 PM]: *sigh* I guess Chris is right and I just need to wait until I'm in a place where I have a tow rig and trailer before I get this caliber of truck

When you get that cup holder please take some pictures of it for me. Looks like what I need for the 84. I have read bad things about the sniper efi and how it compares to fitech. What size carb is that?
