motor and trans mount noise . . .

I am thinking of going to the solid type (urethane) motor and/or trans mount to minimize movement in the drive train. I replaced those mounts several years ago with OEM type but there is quite a bit of wobble even driving down the freeway.    I have put 50K miles on this car in 5 years so I do drive it.  I am also concerned about any adverse effects these mounts may have.  By the way,  I have deleted carpeting in the car and have used truck bed liner and rubber mats through the whole interior.  Also I have replaced the door panels etc. with sheets of black ABS plastic so it is a bit noisy anyway.  I realize there will be some additional transfer of drivetrain noise and I am trying to get a handle on how bad that will be.  Any comments would be appreciated.

I'm kinda in the same boat only I really don't care about noise or vibrations because I hate tearing up stock rubber mounts. I did read on here that HD transfer case mounts resonate and vibrate really good with the stock hollow tcase crossmember, and the fix is a plate crossmember. :dunno:

Dash vibrates like crazy with the urethane mounts. Replace with stock mounts and weld a chain between the frame and upper mount limiting it from flexing too far.

I would keep stock rubber mounts.  :twocents:

Keep the stock mounts and do the Mar-mount mod to the driver's side, works on the T-case mount too.   :twocents:  Works for me.

Thanks for the "heads up" 300,  I am definitely going this way.
I saw at the end of the post a guy also did his T case mount that way . . .
What do you think of that ?
