Old Newbie checking in with a first post. Old because I remember when Marlin became a name in wheeling and because I still run an MC01 adapter!

Its a trip everytime I hear about MC01 still being on the road.   Just a testimate to the strength and reliability of marlin products.  No Chinese Junk.  Glad to have you here, looking forward to some of your old school wisdom hitting the boards

Thanks all. Daily driver is an 87 sr5 Runner all stock and everything still working at 260,000 miles. Wheeler is an 82 pickup with a sb302/np435/dual stock cases, spool rear, arb front, 4.10's. Both axles moved forward, wheelbase at 99". As usual, too much little stuff to list. Will post some wheeler pics someday after I hit my minimum post limit.

Thanks! Been reading your runner build up all day. Love your attention to detail and innovation. Not only a builder but fabric/sewing work too! Awesome work. Thanks for sharing the build.

Maybe MC will give you a deal for exchange of your MC01 to analyze and display.  :beerchug:

The noise might be coming from elsewhere in the case, so I dont know if changing the adapter will solve your noise problem.  However, I think you would love an MC08 when you're ready.  They have been through many updates since your model. It is a much stronger, better product now as new technology has become available.  The MC08 is the latest and greatest.  Thinnest plate, strongest material, best bearings. It will be a whole new beast when you put that in there.

:welcome:  It's nice to know there are others that have been with Marlin this long as well.     Probably a trans bearing or t-case out-put bearing making the noise.

Lol, yeah. I work in the tire industry. My air gauge and core tool are older than some of the kids I hire. Really puts a few things in perspective when you think about that.
