AC help on 84.5 4runner

So I'm trying to charge my AC system, but I don't know what port to use to charge it. There is 2 ports on top of the compressor. Since it's the old R-12 system there is not too much info online and my 2 manuals say take it to an AC mechanic. Any info is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know the ac is always charged on the low pressure side. Just don't know what side that is off hand.

if you look at the pic, you can see the "D" on one side of a/c compressor, that discharge or high pressure, other is suction or low pressure

NICE!, I didn't even see that till u mentioned it. So I take it I charge it on the low pressure correct?
