Will a 93 r150f bolt up to my 97 t100 3.4?
« on: Jul 08, 2017, 02:42:35 PM »
I'm dong a 5 speed swap in my 1997 Toyota t100 4wd and it's a automatic. I want to do a 5 speed swap and I found a r150f that was in a 1993 Toyota pickup with the 3.0 4wd. Will that work for me? I want to keep my current tcase and it's passenger side diff drop. Thanks!

I am not sure about the tcase, but when i did my 3.4 swap in my 4runner, the r150 that was behind my 3.0 bolted right up. I ended up using the 3.0l flywheel, clutch setup.  I think the other option is the 3.4l flywheel, clutchkit, but 3.0l throwout bearing.

did you have to modify your cross member. Picked up a 95 4Runner r150f and it's 3 inches to short on my cross member so I think the shifter will hit my dash or no?

I did not have to modfiy my crossmember as it was the original transmission that came in the vehicle. I was just sharing my experience with bolting my r150 to my 5vz
