TDC 3rd Cylinder for my 85 4runner
« on: Apr 24, 2017, 11:18:17 PM »
Im reaching out the the gurus here. My 4runner is compression testing at between 150 and 160 for all cylinders except #3. It is testing at 70 dry and 90 wet  :nope: I bought the factory manual but I cant seem to find how to achieve TDC for the third cylinder. I need this info to do a leak down test. She runs great but burns oil like crazy. There is some carbon deposits that come out the tail pipe but that issue has greatly reduced after I put in a new O2 sensor. The motor has about 136000 on it and I and trying to diagnose if the issue is the piston rings or the valves. I am toying with the thought of getting a new engine from 22re performance. If anyone has any tips for me I would be grateful and humbled!

Thanks!
