Strang Noise from below
« on: Apr 06, 2005, 12:16:15 PM »
:toiletwait:

A while back I start to get strange rattling noises from what sounded like my clutch. So I thought lets just take it apart and see whats going on.
Well, there was some wear on the peasure plate but nothing seriours, so I put the thing back together. Oh that was a mistake. I made all sorts of noise after that.
So I bought a new clutch kit and did the whole thing over. This time I put in a new pilot bearing and the flywheel resurfaced. Put on a new new pad and pressure plate and throwout bearing. Regreased everthing that needs grease and slaped it back together.  Now everthing is ok except when I depress the clutch pedal I get a noise like the throwout bearing is wacked. It rattles for just a second when I shift quickley.

Im using a 3RZ to W56  Hey BigMike :help:

mine does the same thing to and i did the whole clutch kit like you also, but come to figure out it was the syncros that were making the noise in mine, it sounded like an old bell style telephone, replaced the syncros and its quiet as can be
