It had the same cb antenna on the driver's as well as a ladder, w/a multitude of LED lights.  It had a European style license plate, white w/black lettering, so maybe it is a Euro-style thing.

Quite stupid. I've unfortunately seen worse things done by people on here to their toyotas.

I see SHIMANO on the side.  Is that some sort of crazy fishing rig?  Seen the dudes that sharkfish have some pretty crazy rigs on their trucks, but they usually had a 12" lift and some kind of bait launching air cannon attached...  :hammer:

Could be, but with the Sette sticker, I think the Shimano is for the cycling side of the their products

Could be, but the top portion bolts in creating a pivot point which would negate any structural benefit, not that it would prevent someone from buying it, most strut bars are designed the same way and plenty of people buy them.

If I hadta guess I'd say for loading bikes on the rack, and yeah probably short :ha_ha:
I would bet too that the bikes that go up there are worth way more than the car!

My dad was always pointing that out to me when I lived in Calgary....$3000 Cannondale  bike and a 200 to 300 dollar car.  You can imagination the noises and words he was using when he found out that I had three bikes for work, a spare and a "NICE" bike for the weekend...   :censored:

You should have heard the lady cry when she found out how much her insurance company had to pay to replace the bike she destroyed when she rear ended me.  :yikes: :willynilly:   :rivers:

IF... that's a "bike rack", it's for a Harley Fat Boy!  :rofl2:

A Cannondale bike doesn't weigh 20 lbs.  :D   My wife's purse weighs more than that!!  :rofl2:
