anyone remember the traction lift?

I use to see these alot many years ago. Basically it's a block lift with a length of steel that attaches to the bottom of the leaf spring to help stop spring wrap and help keep the block between the spring and perch. Any one else remember these, do they still make them ? Seems like it would be better than just a block and still be inexpensive. I even saw them on the front of some trucks although I would not use it there.

Traction or ladder bars maybe.  Used to prevent axle wrap, not for lift.

Traction bars, even traction shocks.. If you can, get some taller springs and avoid the whole block issue all together ?

                                                                                                                              This was a block lift with a built in traction bar.  It gave you lift and help to control axel wrap at the same time. I remember seeing it on a Toyota pickup many years ago (maybe 10-12 years). Just wondered if any one else remembered them or ever saw them.

Ahhh the much overused traildisaster "traction" lift.  I remember those being on every leaf sprung show truck in the 80's and early 90's.  The theory is sound but the lack of groundclearance they take away be sticking straight out is a killer.  Id have to imagine they work better than a regular block though
