Put a 1 ton bail of hay in the back and the rear will flex great.  Otherwise put something else in there for springs. ;)
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

DontStall Rockcrwl

inboarding those things does help quite a bit. inboarded with johnny joints and a 3 pack with no overload is the way to go.. just make sure you have some weight back there  :beerchug:

Put the chevys with no overloads and buggy springs.  I used double shackles before my buggies and i gained at least 5 inches of drop.  If you inbord the springs as well as do a buggy you could have enough travel to never lift a tire on the trail.   :turtle:  :usa:

If your going to run a buggy leaf or double shackle then don't bother with the 63' spring,,I think its pretty pointless to put a long spring like the chevy in when the double shackles or buggy leaf will do most of the work..If your going to run that set up just use a stock spring and buggy leaf or duel shackles.

See here for pictures of buggy leaf setup.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

oh sweet, i know what that is just havnt heard it called that. A buddy of mine run that on his 85. isnt that hard to control axle wrap? I think he runs a re-packed chevy for the main and a cut down chevy for the "buggy spring"

James's chevy springs and buggy springs work pretty good together.  He doesn't get that much axle wrap.  the only bad thing baout them is maybe unloading going down a hill and the noise it makes when they hit the frame.  But that can be fixed by putting a rubber mount inbetween the frame and buggy.

sounds like a good budget setup for some bad ass articulation. If I were to pull some 63"ers out of say a mid 80's chevy I would obviosly take out the overloads is that bout it? I can find some springs dirt cheap at the pick n pull down the road. thanx for the pic CTENG

You would need them out of a chevy with ifs..mid 80's stright axle chevies had a 53 in springs I think,,wich is still a good length spring for a top leaf..I'm not running an overload,,some do,,some need the extra 1/2 lift they give to sit level,,some needs blocks..Its one of those things that is rig dependant..

I DONT like my buggies....If there is no weight in your bed, your probley going to die. No but really the more weight in the bed the better the buggies will be. They give to much axle wrap

I dont think i should run into those problems. I plan on runing a full size spare 35"-37" along with a couple jerry cans, hi lift, etc. It all adds up.
