CA Hwy 99....... this sucks.

One of the guys I used to ride motorcycles with was a CHP. He hated highway 99, called it Blood Alley, and avoided it like the plague.
My goal in life is to be as a good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

I have had several near misses on 99.  But its the only road I will travel when I see family.  Because they all live on the east side of 99.  And after driving for 14 hours, I really don't want to drive another hour crossing over from I5 to 99.  I usually get all Rockstared up when I hit 99 and am on high alert!

My wife just road her motor cycle all the way to Joshua tree for a Motorcycle ralley.. I told her to avoid 5 and 99 if she wanted to go, she could not go on either highway.. made her ride through the country just to get over to Tehachapi. after reading that artical i am glad she did..
