I've been doing some reading on installing duals into my truck but the one question I haven't been able to answer is this; I have a W56B which comes with a top shifting T-case, the other T-case I have to do this with is a froward off of a W56C. Can I still use the forward shift as the front T-case or no since the W56B came with a top shift? And if the answer is out there I apologize for not seeing it.

no, it wont work, what ever transmission you have( top or forward), you must use that type of crawl box, then you must use a topshift for the rear box, however you could purchase a top shift conversion kit, or get another top shift case

That's what I had figured  it wanted to double check. Thank you!

Just need a little help, am I correct in thinking that duals would make the front DL 6.5" longer and the rear 6.5" shorter if this were a stock application with no lift?

Probably about right. The driveshaft are at an angle so the change will be a bit more and less than the 6.5 inch shift in the outputs.

I wouldn't count on that. Better off putting them in and then measuring.

I know Marlin has it somewhere on there site. And I will still wait for sure. Was just trying to get a rough idea on what I'd need for a square tube front drive line

Dingman.

SUPER EASY to convert your forward shift crawlbox to top shift.  I did this to my old crawl box.  took a little cutting and welding and that was it!

So yes you could convert the forward shift to "top shift" and use it for your crawlbox!
