I was wondering if anyone has ever swapped a Tacoma dash into a 3rd Gen pickup.  I'm doing a 3rz swap and everything in the dash seems like it would fit.  Just was pretty much asking if anyone has done it what tricks did you do to get it to fit nice and snug any problems did you run in.  I'm looking to do the whole dash except the steering wheel.  I'm guessing I'll need to use everything from then Tacoma fuse panels and boxes take the air bag out.  It looks straight forward just didn't know if it's been done before. Thanks in advance.

It has been done before by a few people, sadly I am not far enough along on mine to give you any pointers.

For mine I did an interior roll cage at the same time, and replaced the factory dash bar with 1.75" DOM so I will be working off that for all my mounting tabs. And yes in my case I have the entire interior wiring for the tacoma in my truck.

I guess I was thinking about it cause 1 it would be different and I figured it would save me some money instead of buying a harness from offroad solutions I'd just put this whOle dash and wiring and be done with it.  Might take a little longer and some thinking but end result would be cool

But I want to keep my steering wheel so I'm gonna hard to a soder those wires to connect my steering wheel to the Tacoma dash harness and I suck at wiring really badly

I think you could do it pretty easy.  A guy did the Tacoma dash in a 4runner, I think it was "Tacorunner". I made a conversion column with the Tacoma steering wheel and tilt column in a 1st gen 4runner and crammed the later harness in the older dash.  You can do this however you want really.
