hey marlin i am in the slow process of building a 1988 toyota pickup. it is a V6 but will soon have a 22re engine in it. it will have all the v6 gears in it. im wondering if i can use your dual case setup as a substitute for new ring and pinion gears cause they are expensive. if i have the dual case setup would leaving it in low gear at all times work in pushing a 33 or 35 inch tire or maybe slightly larger. thanks alot
This is a common question.
Sorry, the answer is no!
The added Marlin box will lower your ring and pinons 128%.
This is waaaay to low, and in 5th you could only go around 40 miles per hour without really winding out your motor.
