Topic: Please Help 80 pickup 4x4 Voltage Regulator issue

Hello,

Can someone Please Help.  Voltage regulator in 1980 Toyota Pickup 4X4 begins Clicking at higher RPM's, at the same time dash alternator light blinks in sequence.  This is my second voltage regulator in trying too resolve problem, so it leads me to believe the problem is else where.

Any ideas on how to fix or trouble shoot?

I've been brainstorming.  Check all connections in and around alternator and voltage regulator.

You're starting in the right direction.  I had to re-wire part of my loom from the alternator up to the regulator on my 80 due to charge issues.  Some of the connections had just failed over time.
