The original steering stabilizer mounting is incredibly bad and the tie rods are in really bad shape.

These are definitely oversized.  Best place to get some new tie rods and ends for this application?  Raw steel is good so I can powdercoat it to match.

Since this is a marlin forum the appropriate recommendation for those parts would be from Marlin Crawler  :)

Anyone keen, just by these pics, on where these leaf springs may have come from?  Recommend a new leaf pack?

How about an inverted u-Bolt kit?

The more I'm under this thing, the more of a basket-case I realize it was when I got it.

I didn't see any pics that show enough of the leaf springs to tell what you have. Are there any markings on them? How wide are they? What is the reason you want to replace them?

you would benefit from a U bolt flip kit and some shock hoops, those shocks look like 8" travel lol

as for the springs im not sure, if they flex good and arnt bent id just keep them.

Finished it up yesterday.

Flip kit ordered.

Fox Racing adjustable stabilizer and mounting kit ordered.

New tie rods go in when that shows up.

I'll go back and do the vented discs (and blast and powdercoat the hubs) when my new wheels come in.

Looking again at the gusset, I guess the axle is probably a 81-83 then, correct?

(just making sure I ordered the correct U-Bolt flip kit)

Perfect.  Thanks for the confirmation!
Just wanted to make sure since I don't think I have actually ever REALLY seen the 84 axle in person.
