This is my project: Project Sherman

Some History:
The rig is a 1982 Toyota Pickup Longbed SR5. I have owned this truck since highschool which is now 13 years and counting. I bet you are wondering how I came up with the name "Sherman" for a project name; It starts back in Highschool when I use to go wheeling here in Washington. Being on a budget and owning an older vehicle I could not afford to pay for gas for wheeling and fix parts that were still somewhat working. With my suspension worn out (metal on metal) and u-joints which were non-serviceable (Stock) my friends could hear me coming down the trail hundreds of feet away. They would always say that it sounded like a Sherman Tank come up the trail with every flex and bump of the trail creating an extremely loud creeking shreak!

Now on to the fun stuff, The Goodies:

The build is going as listed:
2007 Silverado Engine 5.3L LM7 (LS Series) with only 3,000miles; 300hp
Transmission is NV3550
T-Case 21spline Gear Driven (Original)
Front Axle Chromoly Dirty 30's Inners (Marfields) gearing 4:10 stock diff
Rear Axle stock inners; rear disc conversion AllPro-Offroad, stock diff
Tires 36 x 13.5 x 15 Irok Bias
Suspension 6" Trail Flex Allpro-Offroad
Steering Crossover; with 89' IFS ps box
Headers Block huggers from Advance Adapters
Bellhousing adapter Advance Adapters
Parking brake mounted to T-Case upgrade
Radiator BE COOL GM V8 to Toyota (Summit Racing)
and much much more...

I have this build approximately 80% complete.

Let me know what you think and how do I post some Pictures?

Looking forward to those pics. This sounds like a most interesting build.
A real man builds it... Then his wife points out all that he did wrong.

I purchase the weld in mounts from Advance Adapters (part#: 713088 GM Vortec LS series engine mount kit). Additionally I had to weld a 1/4" plate to each side of the inside of the frame to obtain the correct spacing. I am working on putting together a slide show of the build. I have receive a quite a few requests. should be coming soon.
