What a mess
« on: Jun 30, 2013, 05:35:33 PM »
1985 22r is leaking tons of oil out of the crankshaft seal by the pulley. And then it is running rough, it will fire up and run but after awhile dies out then you need to give it gas and it will fire then die off? Is it due to the leak?

Next can someone send me pics of the fuel lines and which is in and out? Could it be switch? Im really into this but it has me stumped, any toyota gurus local to trevorton pa?

Could be flooding due to bad needle valve.

And the only front oil seals that are worth anything are the OEMs from the dealer...........

I think the mixture circuit is blocked, going to clean that out and give it a shot, if that fails, im dry sumping the carb and calling it a day

I don't think its the seal causing this the air would only be leaking into the crankcase and would not effect the air to fuel mixture. it is probably something wrong with the carb, i would take everything apart and then clean all the parts, sometimes just a little dirt is all it takes.
Just put er' to the wood and it'll make it!!! -Dylan W.
