About a year ago I purchased and installed a Marlin adpter to mount duals behind the automatic transmission. I used permatex black to seal it up. It leaked from the lower drivers side bolt from the word "go". I sealed around the bolt and the bolt hole as instructed from the web site. About two months ago, I pulled the whole dual case set up out and went through and rebuilt it again using permatex black to seal it. Now it is leaking from the trans adapter as well as the dual adapter, from the front face of both cases. It is not leaking from the rear of the front case. Should I have used actual gaskets or a different type of sealer. its kinda ticking me off because I am trying so hard to have a clean trail rig.
Any help is appreciated.
