Topic: 22R engine and 5.71 third members

I am about to start a 4.3 conversion in my truck in a few weeks and am trying to find a buyer for the engine and thirds after i pull them. I have a 22R with header recurved distributer and weber carb Asking $600 firm for the engine. I also have three 5.71 geared 4 cyl third members two are welded and one with a lockright one gear is brand new and just been broken in last week. Asking $600 for these also. These parts are located in Fayetteville Ga Zip code 30215. It is looking like anyone on the west coast that having these shiped truck frieght will be the best way to get these out there without spending an arm and a leg. Thanks Craig.

Where are you located? How much for one 5:71 welded third? I have two stock thirds if interested in some kind of trade. How long have they been welded, what brand of gears?

sorry i dont want to break them up i am looking to sell as a package deal to help pay for the 4.3 conversion need to offset some of the money i have to spend and dont need this much gera with that motor I am running V6 thirds with 4.88s so i dont really need any 4.10 thanks for the offer though.

Ok i have had several people ask about getting only one third. If I have to seperate them lets say $225 each for the welded and $275 for the one with the locker. That sounds fair to me if you stop and figure what the parts and instalation cost.

Sorry I really dont have any Idea how many miles are on it. I think it was gone through before I got the truck by the previous owner. It had a recurved distribitor weber carb and full length header and the moter runs damn good no rattles smoke or any other signs of being abused in any way. The only reason I am changing it for a V8 is i am tired of trailering it and cant deal with driving it with the four banger in the mountains with 39.5 Irocs need more power on the street to make me happy. the engine still has the recurved distributor but the carb and header have been sold. I am working on getting you the best shipping price I can and will get it to you soon.
