2" wheel spacers with 4" bs rims?
« on: Sep 15, 2011, 12:38:32 AM »
I'm looking at running 2" spacers on a yota front axle with 4" backspaced rims. Tires will be 35's, so i'm looking for opinions on if this will put to much stress on the bearings? I don't think it would be to big of a deal, but it would be on a dd so maybe it will :dunno:

Do it till you get new rims. I for one don't like spacers over one inch. But people seam top get away with it all the time. heck theres a guy by my house that has 3 inch on all corners. and he DD every day

I run 2in spacers and 3.75 BS wheels with no issues.  The scrub radius is not the best, but it works just fine.

I'm running 31x10.50 on 15" 3 3/4" back space wheels.

Stock IFS suspension, 1994.

The tire/wheel combo didn't rub at full lock, and when i threw on 1.5" spacers my uncle gave me, they rubbed real bad. Had to take a BFH to the pinch welds. Fine now.

I run 1.5" spacers with 15"x10" 2.5" backspaced wheels.  The scrub radius sucks.  The width is nice.  It's hard on all the frontend parts.  Trunion bearings hate it for sure.

Yeah, your wheel bearings and trunion bearings are gonna hate you. Wide is stable, but so is a balanced rig, that sits low. And low doesnt hurt parts.
