just wondering if anyone is running the 2.4L tacoma toyota engine and how they like it over a 22-re. I might be able to pick up up for a good price but i'm not sure if it would be worth the work to put it in my 91. Will a w56 mate to this engine with the right bellhousing?

i assume you mean the 2RZ ?? i think its the same bell "w59" as the 3RZ, so yes it would bolt up to your w56,

yup the 2rz is what i'm talking about. Not sure if it would be much of a upgrade though for price. What would be the weight difference between the 2rz and 3rz?

Less than 10 hp difference I think. If you can get it cheap it'll be a fair upgrade, but will not be a 3rz for sure. I almost had one for cheap, but it was sold the same day I was told about it.

It should say right on the engine, but if you have access to the vehicle it came from you just need to check the emissions tag or the id tag in the doorjam.
