Author Topic: 3.0 w/ auto + gear t-case!!!!!!!!!! (Read 2552 times)

I want to put a feeler out here for a 1989 3.0 with 140k. The 4 speed auto with a Advanced Adapters adapter for the auto to 23 spline gear driven t-case. The t-case has TG 4.7s. Will include a new CV rear driveshaft (for a 4runner), ECU, engine wire harness, all the 3.0 bits, pieces, odds and ends.

The bad. The 3.0 has had a head gasket redone (paperwork). ~~Now it has a tick, could be a lifter out of adjustment but it may be a knock. It eats a bit of oil~~. I've been driving it for about 4k miles and the engine makes good power, great gas milelage and passed smog (paperwork). The trans is the best older Toyota auto I have driven to date. Sifts smooth and the torque converter locks up correctly.

The engine blew. I believe it dropped a valve but it could be a bearing. I just don't know.

I'm thinking $1100.

I wouldnt mind separating. The biggest issue is getting parts too people. I need to line up an engine to go in. When I do, I'll set this up for sale. It shouldn't take too long.

Engine $200.

For the right price I am willing to deliver. I can come to the Bay Area every so often and I am comfortable coming over to Redding, Chico, Cresent City, Sac, Stockton, Tracy, San Jose and the sort.

I have someone interested in the tcase so I may split it up. Where are you located? The trans will come with the adapter for a 23 spline gear driven tcase.

How about $750 for the trans with the 23 spline gear driven case adapter.
I don't know what's wrong with the engine yet so how about $200. If I fix it, it'll be more
