Bummer, I had high hopes for these tires!

Yeah Mang, I had to shave my V6 calipers on my yota to clear my 15" aluminum wheels, while 16's clear everything on my F350 with no probs. Had to go to 17's on my Burb when I ditched the old 16.5's

Have you looked into Goodyear Duratracs? I love mine and they are available in up to 33s on 15s and the metric equivalent of 35s on 16+ size wheels.

Not really.  I like them, but they're not made in sizes I want.  Thinking about it more and more, I'd probably be better off getting the new mtr, but I'd really prefer to bump up to a 37!

First set came through the shop today, and I have to say, that's one sexy tire!  Customer ordered 35x12.50-17 for his excursion and they weighed 83 pounds each  :yikes:  Got a chance to talk with him for a minute and he'll definitely be off-roading them and giving us feedback.

Holy :pokinit:!! Add the weight of the wheels, and I hope that Ferd has some really good shocks....  :willynilly:

I have a set of Generals (race version)  on an f-250. I know they are not made for the street but I haven't had any trouble yet. The truck weighs over 9,000 lbs so the tires always look a little low. I haven't done any real wheelin' with them since the truck is more of a work horse.
I was worried about the sipping issue so the first rain I got I was in an unpopulated area and tested its abilities in the rain and didn't have any issues. I did have issues in the sand but I never aired them down and wouldn't expect them to be very good in the sand anyways. Overall I am happy with them, wife has put thousands of miles on them in over a year period and they are wearing nice and slowly.

So back on topic... I have a friend running these. He says they are a desert tire, not a mud or winter tire. He runs them on his desert truck.

heyyyy thats me!!! yeah they arent that good in mud they do clean out really well but no traction in mud. they are a hard compound tire. sidewall deflection is good just yesterday i hit a 15in tall rock doing about 40mph with the drivers rear fully copressed the suspension and threw it sideways and didt bend or break the rim. i love these things i would be scared to do what i do with a a/t or crawler tire.
