I need some expert advice please. I have a 1991 Toyota Ext. Cab 4wd with an automatic, and the auto is about junk, so I want to swap to a 5 spd. My truck has the 22 re. I have a 1988 4 runner that has a 5 spd. with the 22re motor. (The 4 runner has been wrecked, so I am not junking a good vehicle) My question is, will everything out of the 4 runner work in the pickup for the swap? Clutch pedals, transmission, crossmember, etc.? Will this swap mess with my computer? I know I will have to wire up a neutral safety switch and the reverse lights, is there anything else that could be different from the 4runner to the pickup as far as the manual swap goes? Driveshaft may be to be modified, I can't find anyone that can give me an answer on this. Thanks for any help, I greatly appreciate it.
