Topic: want a 79-85 front axle

Like it says I'd like a front axle. I'd really like a 84-85 but I can't be picky. Would like it to be complete with the spindles and axles birfs and gears but a housing with spindles would work. Priced reasonably. No I'm not going to pay $500 for a 79 axle with 4.10's. I'd like 4.10's and open diff but will concider 4.88s or 5.29s. I'm Located in florence oregon I'll travle to portland/seattle area or down as far as redding for a good deal.

I do have some things I could trade like a ifs rear axle, a pretty nice stereo set up jl sub, pioneer deck, amp, and boston speakers.

yeah I don't wanna get something that cheap though probably a blow up 3rd or broken axle shalfs. or drive down there for some one on cl and have it sell out from under me. I had it happen drove to seattle last year for a to good to be true deal on duals got there and the guy did not answer then he finally texted me and said he sold them. What a lil pregnant dog.

yeah I drove hours once just to have the lame call me 20 mins away and say someone else was there offering more.
I said a deal is a deal, ill be there in 10
and he said ok.
I got there and no one was home.
We were pissed, we staked out this house for hours
finally gave up.

for sure. I don't get it when you make a deal with some one you just don't answer to other numbers let them leave a message then if they don't show that day they were gonna you return calls that night. I mean that's just not right. lots of cl people are flakes. I tend to try and not deal on there unless I find a super good deal in my town or am selling a car/truck then I gotta deal with 100 questions each call and then oh well I gotta ask my grandma to borrow xxx amount.

i have an 80-83 front axle i got out of the junk yard... i had to peace it back together and it's not quite all there... it's missing the j-arm and some other random parts, i was going to clean it up, torch off the mount for the factory anti-wrap bar, and grind it down, paint it, make it look pretty, rebuild the knuckles, put a hySteer kit on it and sell it...but it's just sitt'n right now...
